Shhh… tattoo gets people talking. Finger tattoos are catching on. Rihanna, Beyonce, Jay-Z and now a British singer named Lily Allen, have gotten finger tattoos. Beyonce and Jay-Z put IV on their wedding ring fingers. Smile copied Rihanna’s “shhh…” index finger tattoo.
This duplication of finger messages reminds me of “Night of the Hunter” and “Do the Right Thing.” “Do the Right Thing” pays homage to a scene in “Night of the Hunter” where one fist spells out HATE and the other fist spells out LOVE. “HATE, it was with this hand that Cain iced his brother. LOVE, these five fingers go right to the soul of man.” Which kind of fist do you think Chris Brown used on Rihanna?
